too much cute, part 3

The last baby Gypsy was born! She was born during fair week and she is everything her owner, Kim, wanted her to be. Tight, compact, a filly, and sassy!

I went to visit with Kim and Christina and the baby Gypsies the other day. Enjoy the cute! For even more cute, check out part 1 and part 2. And you will be able to see how much the other two have grown in just a few weeks!

too much cute, part 2

We went back to visit with the Gypsy foals! Actually, we had gone to a tack store and their farm is on the way back, so we stopped. Plus, who can resist those little babies! Not me!
not Terry! Baby and mama
They were just as cute this time around. The colt and filly have started getting their teeth in. The colt has calmed down a bit, at least he was not kicking out for this visit.
One day, his hair will probably touch the ground
The filly was just as much as a love! She loves hugs!
She is just so soft! Love the creme color in her ears.
More hugs!
And she is keen to return scratching favors.

Haley really liked the colt.

Omg, his beard!
We are still waiting for the last foal to be born! Can't wait! These babies will make great horses!

too much cute

We interrupt the normal Monday Musings to bring you too much cute to contain another day! Sorry Shyloh, but this beats you out. . .

Some friends of ours that show at our Northwest Ohio Driving Circuit shows also have a Gypsy Vanner farm and live pretty close to Kyle and Jaime's barn. And this past week two of their mares just had babies!

Babies!! Little foals full of little Gypsy beards and little Gypsy hair and little Gypsy feather and too much little Gypsy cuteness!
In your face filly!
Crazy little colt with mama right behind him
So we went to visit, of course! Can I tell you that Gypsy babies are probably the cutest thing on the planet?

One was a solid filly(either black or smokey black, not sure yet) with blue eyes. She was adorable! She walked right up to us, like hey, I'm here, Love me!! And we did. She was the first foal from their stallion, Mr. Sandman. Her mom is Angelina Rose. This filly is already sold. I really wanted to put her in my pocket and steal her away. She would have come with me.  She is only a few days old and already took a halter like a pro. She is just so chill.
Walking up to everyone to say Hi! She is so sociable and not afraid.

Filly's mama
The colt was a little firecracker! He was in the pasture with his mom, Daezy Mae and two other mares. One was Lillie Belle who is due with the last foal on the farm for this year.
Lillie Belle, almost ready to pop!

The other is Jazmyn Joy, who is a yearling or two year old, I think. The colt is a couple days older than the filly and so so sassy! They are thinking that he is going to be a blue roan pinto. He was running around and kicking at his mom, the air, the grass, anything he could kick at. I guess he is a kicker and kicks at people too. His eyelashes are so so long and he has a belly mohawk!
Those eyelashes! He looks wet because it was just raining.
After getting our foal love on, we visited with the stallions. Sandman has really filled out nicely. He is super chill and loves to be loved on. Star is the other stallion on the farm. He is still too young to be bred, but he gets to hang out with Sandman and a mini horse.
Mr. Sandman
The Gypsy Vanners are such a great breed of horse. They have the calmest temperament, and they ride and drive. They are a thick, solid horse.

Check out the website for Serenity Farm Gypsy Horses! We thank them for letting us visit!

it's back. . .

When your Haflinger has gotten too fat. . .

Desperate measures must be taken, even if it makes for an unhappy pony.

And not only is Shyloh fat, she is in heat and had to be separated from Isaac. She just would not stop throwing her whorse self at him until Isaac finally could not resist the temptation. . . aaaand Shy's lady parts are now raw. It's gross.

Apart from Shy getting her groove on, she had a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad driving day. I'll write about it later, as I am still trying to process everything. Let's just say, it is now known that I am not over reacting when I say certain things about how she can be. . .

Enjoy a couple baby Gypsies that I went to visit today. Baby horses make everything better!

The second Northwest Ohio Driving Circuit show as so much fun. Even though I didn't bring Shy and we missed having Jaime and Kyle there, we had a great time. I got to ring steward with some great judges and I took a a ton of photos. Enjoy!

We ended the day with some fun classes, like driven egg and spoon and crazy stakes. I love this circuit, the people are so supportive and so much fun. The next circuit show is not until August, but there are a couple other shows in between I hope to bring Shyloh to show. If not, expect a ton more photos, cause I'm going to the shows with or without horse!
