When your Haflinger has gotten too fat. . .
Desperate measures must be taken, even if it makes for an unhappy pony.
And not only is Shyloh fat, she is in heat and had to be separated from Isaac. She just would not stop throwing her whorse self at him until Isaac finally could not resist the temptation. . . aaaand Shy's lady parts are now raw. It's gross.
Apart from Shy getting her groove on, she had a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad driving day. I'll write about it later, as I am still trying to process everything. Let's just say, it is now known that I am not over reacting when I say certain things about how she can be. . .
Enjoy a couple baby Gypsies that I went to visit today. Baby horses make everything better!
Baby F loves to be scratched!! |
Spartacus, the youngest and biggest of the babies! |
Ms. Molly. . .it is hard work being a baby |
Are we sure Isaac is totally a gelding?! Otherwise how cute would those babies be. Speaking of adorable - vanner babies... ♥♥♥
ReplyDeleteP.S. Allison, how do you get all the horses to say cheese?!
Yes, his current owners got him gelded. . .it better have been successful!! The Gypsy babies, omg, so cute!
DeleteShy can smile on command, but she mostly does it on her own. The baby was doing it because he was being scratched in a spot he really liked. It was the cutest thing!!
Shyloh says shes not fat she's big boned.
ReplyDeleteHaha. Is bone squishy? :)
DeleteWow look at that tail swishing! That is one angry Halflinger!
ReplyDeleteYes, when her access to the all you can eat buffet is denied, she gets a little grumpy!
DeleteWhy, that little hussy!
ReplyDeleteOh.... I do love Gypsies - and they are so cute when they are little. Cute when they are big, too!
They are so adorable! And yes, Shy needs to get herself together. . .she is a fast girl :/
DeleteOMG what a hussy!!! LOVE the Gypsy babies
ReplyDeleteRight! It is so bad. Her lady parts and legs are all chaffed from her constant squirting. Nasty mare.
DeleteWhen mares are in season in the autumn it can be prolonged and more intense than the rest of the year - natures way of saying "This is the last chance to get pregnant this year" I think!
ReplyDeleteSo be warned, she may have another extremely passionate episode...
I couldn't see all your photos, the 1st & 3rd of the cobs are missing?
I think I fixed it! Shy was only this bad one other time and that was with Traveller first came to her herd. I am hoping that after this heat cycle Shy will be back to normal since she will be used to all the geldings. Ewww.
DeletePoor Shy, LOL. OMG, the babies are cute!
ReplyDeleteI love the babies! And they love to be loved on!
