hobby horse blog hop #6

Here are the rules:
Answer one or all of the prompts. Link back to Living a Dream's post. Visit other blogs. And don't forget to ask a question of everyone else!

1. My horse does this silly thing. . .
Um. . .my horse does a lot of silly things, she has me cracking up on a regular basis. She does do this crazy head toss thing that looks like she has an attitude problem.

2. What trick(s) have you taught your horse, dog, cat, husband, or kids?
Shyloh can wave, kiss, and hug. We are working on more tricks, too. The dogs can sit, down, stay, shake, speak and Cooper can balance a treat on his nose then flip it up and catch it.

3. What was the last movie you watched?
I went to see The Hunger Games. I was a little disappointed in the movie, since I read the books. It was a good movie, but I felt that it did not quite get the message that the book was trying to convey.

My question: If your horse could have one super power, what would it be?

  1. I'm so impressed with what you have taught Shyloh. I keep thinking it would be fun to teach the horses to do some sort of trick... but it never gets beyond the thinking stage!
I'm going to see the Hunger games next weekend with my book club. We're going to have dessert afterwards so we can talk about the book and movie. I'm looking forward to it. I'm just finishing the third book in the series. It's been a while since a book has captivated me as much as these have - and they aren't my typical genre at all.
OK...now to answer your question; I'd love to know what my horses think. Wouldn't it be fun if they could talk, like Mr. Ed?

    1. It is fun! How cute would Pippin and Doc be doing some tricks? Super cute!!
The book was very good! I am interested to hear your thoughts after you see the movie.
I would love to know what Shy is thinking. I think if Shy had the choice, her super hero power would be invisibility. Then she would never have to be caught and could be free and wild like she wants to be. Or she would choose turning objects into food.
But for Shy's super power, I would choose telepathy. I would like to be able to communicate with Shy through our minds. That way she could understand me and I could understand her. Flying is a close second, but how would I contain her.

  2. I can imagine Shy doing the attitude head toss, just enough to flick her forelock out of her eyes, like girls do. You've got some very talented critters there. I read The Hunger Games last week. Good story. I haven't seen the movie yet.

Equine Super Power: I'd like my horses to make their manure disappear.

    1. That is an awesome super power! After I spent all day mucking 20 stalls, I totally agree with that! Can we include fill their own water bucket, too?

  3. How did I not see this blog hop???

Awesome question by the way. I would have to choose flying. It's just something I would love to be able to do. When the day comes that he can fly then I'll worry about trying to contain him lol. :D
