1. When it comes to your horse (dog, cat, husband, kid or anything else), tell about a bargain you were thrilled to find.
Hmmm. . .I do love a good bargain, but my husband is much more of a bargain hunter than me. I don't have the patience to search through stuff! Cooper was a great bargain, $25 for one of the best dogs I've ever had!

2. How about the flip side of that. Tell about a bargain you discovered that turned out not to be such a bargain after all.
Ah, I am so bad at thinking back! I have to keep consulting my husband! Once, we had to buy a new engine for Mike's car. I had been driving it for some time and did not get the oil changed as I should have. . .oops. We got a pretty good deal on the engine, but a few months after that, I got in a car accident with the car and totaled it. This was about one month after we had paid the car off!
3. Benjamin Franklin once said, "A bargain is something you have to find a use for once you have bought it." Your thoughts?
I hate having things I can't/don't use. I am a pretty practical person and if I can't find a use for something, I don't want it.
My question: Where do you find the most bargain's for tack or horse supplies?
Cooper was a great bargain - and so cute!
ReplyDeleteHmmm... where do I find tack/horse supply bargains? All over. I just keep my eyes open. I found a Dr. Cook bit-less bridle for half price (their price) at a garage sale: $42.50. I often find some things at my favorite auction - well, the peed-on saddle pad might not have been a bargain after all! We have a resale shop where I found my Tucker saddle. It was a super deal and a lot of other things at the shop are also nicely priced.
Ebay! And tack shop sales! I can't remember the last time I bought something at full price.... although it was probably a hair care product :D
ReplyDeleteI think my problem is that I don't like to search for deals. I just like them to fall on my lap. . .which never happens!
